Scott: I was born in 1981 and grew up by the beach in Corpus Christi, Texas to Tommy & Debbie Dubois. I spent most of my time growing up drawing, fishing with dad, and playing with computers. I went to college at the University of Texas and then moved to NYC to work for The High Line. While in New York, I worked as a web designer not far from where Wynn lived at the time. However, I didn’t meet her until I moved back to Texas to plant a garden.
Wynn: Besides living in New York City at the same time, Scott’s parents had a place in Port Aransas, Texas directly across from my parent’s house. True story.
Wynn: I was born on a Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. to Ann and Will Myers in Austin, Texas. I grew up going to the ocean, climbing trees, and playing records. Besides that, I had a hedge hog named Ginger and a cat named Sara Lee (after the pound cake). After graduating from high school, I studied in Scotland at the University of St. Andrew’s. I then went on to work for Zac Posen in New York City. After life in the big city, I was ready for a change of pace and moved to Maine to study photography. In 2006, I graduated from Maine Media College and decided it was time to move back home for a bit. One year later, I met Scott.

Wynn: This is one of the photos from the early days!
Scott: Wynn and I met five years ago while working at a garden store. We both started the same week. She made me so giddy that I had to resort to meditation while raking to keep my cool. I wanted to talk to her but I could barely get out a word. Fortunately, Wynn broke the ice with a spring roll offering at lunch. We’ve been together ever since.
Wynn: We’ve raised chickens, ducks, quail, kittens, and cotton tails!
Scott: Now we just have four pups: Lois, Mu, Bitty, and George. That’s our backyard before we planted a garden, Barbara our first chicken, and Wynn with cute short hair.
Wynn: This is our whole motley crew! Lois (the beagle), Bitty (the jumper), George (the tan and white pup), and Mu (to the right).
Wynn: At a family friend’s ranch driving in circles.
Scott: It’s the best way to exercise the dogs.
Scott: We posed for the cover of Austin Monthly’s romance issue in 2011. It involved some pretty fancy bike riding, but those shots didn’t make the cover.
Wynn: I had always thought we were pretty good bike riders up until that point…
Scott: This is us at our friend Candice and Olin’s wedding photo booth.
Wynn: Just a regular weekend.
Wynn: We took a mini road trip to Houston and picked out a vintage ring together.
Scott: That was the same weekend we met our new nephew, Wake. We’re the proudest Aunt and Uncle!
Wynn: This is how Scott spends his days. Gardening with kids and doing design work for Primavera Montersorri and Khabele Schools. Pretty cute stuff. In his down time, Scott works on his illustrations and writing children’s books.
Scott: Wynn has a great eye for photography, and it makes me happy to see her making beautiful images and getting recognized for her work.
